A Hospital, located in Rhode Island , is actively seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Department (ED) team. This is a long-term assignment for 36 hours (day shift & Night Shift) , addressing an open need within our EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT (10100-60095) . We are looking for an individual with 5 years of experience required .

Responsibilities
As an Emergency Department RN, you will play a crucial role in providing immediate, high-quality, and compassionate care to patients presenting with a wide range of medical and surgical emergencies. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Performing rapid and comprehensive assessments of patients in critical and non-critical conditions.
- Initiating and managing emergent interventions, including medication administration, IV therapy, wound care, and cardiac monitoring.
- Collaborating effectively with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare team members to prioritize care and develop treatment plans.
- Educating patients and families on their conditions, treatment options, and discharge instructions in a clear and concise manner.
- Accurately and thoroughly documenting all patient care activities in the electronic health record.
- Maintaining a calm and efficient demeanor in high-stress situations.
- Adhering to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols, including infection control and patient confidentiality.
- Advocating for patient needs and ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Rhode Island.
- Minimum of 5 years of recent and relevant experience as a Registered Nurse in an Emergency Department setting.
- Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Current PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification, preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, assessment, and rapid decision-making skills in emergency situations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork abilities.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
