Job Description

Join USAA as a Mid-Level Risk Analyst, where you'll play a crucial role in managing risks for banking services. You'll collaborate with stakeholders to enhance risk management practices, ensuring the safety and security of financial operations while enjoying a flexible work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, assess, aggregate, and document risks and controls
  • Communicate results of risk assessments to governance committees
  • Contribute to the implementation of new risk policies and practices
  • Improve strategies, tools, and methodologies for risk management
  • Analyze data to drive risk-based business decisions
  • Support scenario analysis and stress test plans

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Business, Finance, or related field OR 4+ years of related experience
  • 4+ years of risk management, regulatory or operations experience
  • Knowledge of risk management principles, tools, and applicable systems
  • Experience in conflict resolution management
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external partners
  • Critical thinking and knowledge of data analysis tools
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Deposits or Payments business lines
  • Experience in independent monitoring and testing activities
  • Track record of analyzing complex datasets
  • Proficient in data analysis tools like Tableau
  • Strong presentation skills
  • US military experience or relationship
