Key Responsibilities
Coordinates clinical activities of the Inpatient Wound Care Program
Performs assessment and plans patient care
Evaluates patient assessment, planning and intervention process
Delivers direct patient care appropriate to the age of patient served
Assesses and diagnoses wounds, ostomies and continence disorders
Develops and implements treatment plans
Monitors and evaluates patient progress
Provides patient education on self-care and disease management
Collaborates with other healthcare professionals
Documents patient progress and treatment plans accurately
Provides emotional support to patients and their families
Manages and maintains specialized equipment and supplies
Advocates for the needs and rights of patients
Required Qualifications
Graduate of a Program in Discipline
Current licensure by WV State Board of Nursing
Two years of experience in wound, ostomy and continence care
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
Wound Care Certification
One to two years related experience and/or training
