Job Description
As a Navy Chaplain, you will provide vital spiritual support and guidance to Sailors and Marines in diverse settings, conducting services, counseling, and overseeing religious education. This role gives you the chance to impact the lives of service members during both joyful and challenging times.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct worship services in various settings
Perform religious rites and ceremonies such as weddings and funerals
Counsel individuals seeking guidance
Oversee religious education programs
Visit and provide spiritual guidance to hospitalized personnel and families
Train lay leaders for religious education programs
Promote attendance at religious services and events
Advise leaders on morale, ethics, and spiritual well-being
Required Qualifications
U.S. citizen or equivalent
Graduate degree in theological or related studies from an accredited institution
Two years of full-time religious leadership experience
Ability to obtain an Ecclesiastical Endorsement from a registered faith organization
