Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN)

Shift: Day 3x12.0

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team. The RN will play a crucial role in maintaining the delivery of quality care by ensuring adherence to nursing care plans and supervising Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees.

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission to provide the basis for individualized care plans.
  • Identify teaching needs and collaborate with patients and the interdisciplinary team to set goals based on the nursing admission assessment.
  • Provide timely updates on patient status for Initial Team Conferences and weekly re-evaluations.
  • Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and in accordance with policy.
  • Participate in the patient rehabilitation program by utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care.
  • Initiate discharge planning on the day of admission, including patient education in anticipation of discharge.
  • Communicate pertinent changes in patient status to support continuity of care.
  • Provide direction, training, and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel, effectively organizing and prioritizing tasks.
  • Ensure personal and environmental safety in compliance with hospital and nursing policies.
  • Contribute positively to the unit by offering calm direction and support to staff, patients, and families.
  • Maintain communication with management regarding service needs and equipment repairs.
  • Assume charge responsibilities as requested after orientation.
  • Identify and pursue professional growth through continuing education and self-study.
  • Perform other duties as requested.

Qualifications

  • BLS Certification required prior to the first shift.
  • ACLS certification required prior to first shift (CIRH only).
  • Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience preferred.
