Job Description

As a Fleet Technician I at Sysco, you'll assist experienced technicians in maintaining and repairing a fleet of vehicles to ensure safety and reliability. This role offers the opportunity to learn preventive maintenance and diagnostics, contributing to the overall efficiency of the fleet operations.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in performing required inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment
Conduct FAI/CVI inspections on all fleet vehicles
Perform quality preventive maintenance inspections
Address driver vehicle inspection report write-ups
Diagnose and repair vehicle malfunctions
Document all work performed on work orders
Learn and develop efficiency in Sysco computer programs

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
Current and valid driver's license (CDL Preferred)
Basic knowledge and skill of all vehicle systems and components
Basic knowledge and skill in diagnosis and repair of electrical systems
Basic knowledge and skill in welding and cutting (gas, electric, MIG, TIG)
Basic computer skills and knowledge
Technicians must own and provide all tools necessary for maintenance inspections, repair, and diagnostics

Preferred Qualifications

Medium/Heavy Duty truck technical training 2-year school
Annual Inspector Certification Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Brake Inspector Certification Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
ASE certifications – Automotive or Medium/Heavy Duty Trucks
609 HVAC Certification
Working knowledge of computer-based diagnostic software for OEM’s and component manufacturers
