Join Kaiser as a Psychological Assistant, providing critical mental health services under supervision. You'll develop treatment programs, conduct assessments, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support patients with diverse psychiatric needs.
Key Responsibilities
Develops, implements, coordinates, and evaluates clinical treatment programs
Provides outpatient psychotherapy to individuals, couples, families, and groups
Conducts psychological assessments, prepares intake summaries and treatment plans
Collaborates with physicians regarding psychotropic medications
Provides consultation to other care providers and health educators
Reports safety concerns to mandated reporting agencies
Required Qualifications
Completion of a psychology doctoral internship - minimum of 1 year (1500 hours)
PhD/PsyD/EdD in Clinical, Counseling, Health or School Psychology from an accredited college or university
Psychologist License (California) within 24 months of hire
Psychological Assistant Registration (California) required at hire
Familiarity with DSM-V for diagnosis
Experience in assessing, diagnosing, and treating a broad range of psychiatric conditions
Knowledge of Evidence-Based Practice and psychotherapy research methods
Knowledge of bio-psycho-social functions contributing to mental health
Accuracy in diagnosing patients and developing effective treatment plans
Competence in individual, family, and group psychotherapy
Professional maturity and ethical integrity
Commitment to quality of service and teamwork
Ability to complete multiple tasks in a timely manner
Knowledge of social service agencies and state regulations
Preferred Qualifications
Previous clinical responsibility in crisis intervention, individual and group psychotherapy
Experience in psychological evaluations including testing and assessment
Demonstrated professional maturity and ethical integrity
Demonstrated commitment to quality of service and teamwork
