About the Role: A facility in Woonsocket, RI is seeking an experienced and dedicated Traveler Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a MedSurg Telemetry and Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Float Nurse . This is a critical "Open Need" position, offering an exciting opportunity to utilize your skills across diverse patient populations. You will be an essential part of our nursing staff, providing high-quality care to patients, particularly those with cardiac conditions.

Start Date: September 15, 2025

End Date: December 14, 2025

Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: Days (06:45 - 19:15), Night Float
Bill Rate: $2,376/Weekly

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients on both Medical-Surgical Telemetry and Progressive Care Units.
  • Manage a diverse patient load, with a strong emphasis on cardiac patients , including those post-cardiac catheterization.
  • Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and manage patients requiring telemetry.
  • Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Administer medications, perform treatments, and educate patients and families.
  • Document patient care accurately and thoroughly in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active and unrestricted Rhode Island RN license (Rhode Island is a compact state).
  • Minimum of 2+ years of recent experience as a Registered Nurse in a Med/Surg Telemetry setting.
  • 2+ years of recent cardiac experience is mandatory, including experience caring for post-cardiac cath and cardiac patients on a PCU.
  • Current and active ACLS certification (Our Nurse Directors require that travelers already have their ACLS showing it has been needed in prior positions; obtaining it solely for compliance is not acceptable).
  • Current and active BLS certification.
  • EPIC EMR experience required.
  • Ability to work every other weekend (e/o Friday and Saturday for night shift as applicable to unit needs).
