Job Requirements
- Experience:
- Minimum 2 years inpatient PACU experience
- Experience with general, ortho, neuro surgeries
- Vasoactive drip titration required
- Certifications:
- License:
- Active WA RN License or Compact License accepted
- Previous Providence-affiliated perm employees must have 3-month separation to qualify
Patient Diagnoses / Procedures
- Surgeries:
- General: Hernia repair, lap appy, lap choley, colon resection
- ENT: Tonsil/adenoids, tympanoplasty, nasal/septoplasty
- GYN: Hysterectomy (including robotic)
- Urology: Prostate (robotic), cystectomy
- Ortho: Total hip/knee/shoulder, spine (laminectomy, diskectomy)
- Pediatric: BMT, circumcision, T&A, minor ortho (6 months and older)
- Bariatric: Gastric surgery
- Rotation: Between Phase I and II PACU
- 19 beds in Pre-op, 19 beds in PACU
- Special Areas:
- Endoscopy: elective, urgent, emergent, and ERCP with anesthesia
- Cath Lab / IR: pre/post op
- Blood Patch PACU
- On-Q pain catheter insertion/PACU

- Space Lab Monitors

- Call Required: Yes – 3 nights/month
