Sable Corporation is seeking a per diem / prn nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a per diem / prn nursing job in Kankakee, Illinois. Job Description & Requirements
We are seeking a reliable and clinically strong Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to join the team on a per diem basis in Illinois . The ideal candidate will be experienced in caring for cardiac telemetry patients, interpreting rhythms, and managing high-acuity care. This role offers flexible scheduling and may require floating between Telemetry and ICU based on unit needs.
Key Responsibilities:Provide direct and indirect nursing care to patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring
Interpret telemetry/EKG rhythms and communicate changes in patient condition to providers
Perform nursing assessments, administer medications, and manage ventilators or IV drips as appropriate
Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to deliver safe and effective patient care
Document all care accurately and timely in the EMR
Float to ICU or similar units as needed, within scope of practice
Active Illinois RN license (Required)
BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA – Required)
Minimum 1 year of recent telemetry or ICU experience (Preferred)
Strong cardiac rhythm recognition and clinical decision-making skills
Ability to work flexible day or night shifts , including weekends and holidays as needed
Comfortable floating between ICU and Telemetry units when required
