Med/Surg RN Job Details

• Location: Trenton, NJ (08638) – New Jersey nursing jobs
• Healthcare Setting: Med/Surg/Tele Float Pool (ED Holds Home Unit)
• Assignment Type: Travel RN contract
• Duration: 8 weeks
• Start Date: November 18, 2025
• Hours per Week: 36
• Shift: 12 Hour Nights (7:00pm – 7:30am)
• Shifts per Week: 3
• Schedule: Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue
• EMR System: Cerner

Med/Surg RN Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg/Tele (MST) nursing experience
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey or Compact State (required at submission)
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications
• Ability to float between Regional Medical Center and Hopewell Campuses
• Strong adaptability, teamwork, and clinical skills

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the Med/Surg/Tele Float Pool, including ED Holds as home unit
• Float between Trenton, NJ campuses as needed to support patient care and staffing needs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Accurately document care and assessments in Cerner EMR
• Comply with all facility policies, procedures, and safety standards
• Demonstrate flexibility by working every other weekend and holiday as scheduled
