Job Description
As a Behavioral Intervention Specialist Level 1, you will create and oversee Behavior Management Programs for individuals with developmental disabilities. This role involves conducting assessments, developing support plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes for clients. Key Responsibilities
Design and implement Behavior Management Programs
Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs)
Develop Individualized Behavior Support Plans (BSPs)
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
Ensure compliance with OPWDD regulations
Maintain accurate documentation
Participate in advocacy and interdisciplinary meetings
Required Qualifications
Master's degree in clinical psychology, social work, school psychology, or applied psychology
Training in assessment techniques and behavior support plan development
National board certification in Behavior Analyst (BACB) or NYS license as a Behavior Analyst (LBA)
NYS license in mental health counseling or master's degree in behavior analysis
Preferred Qualifications
At least three years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
Experience developing, implementing, and monitoring behavior support plans
