Job Description

As a Behavioral Intervention Specialist Level 1, you will create and oversee Behavior Management Programs for individuals with developmental disabilities. This role involves conducting assessments, developing support plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes for clients. Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement Behavior Management Programs
  • Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs)
  • Develop Individualized Behavior Support Plans (BSPs)
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
  • Ensure compliance with OPWDD regulations
  • Maintain accurate documentation
  • Participate in advocacy and interdisciplinary meetings

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in clinical psychology, social work, school psychology, or applied psychology
  • Training in assessment techniques and behavior support plan development
  • National board certification in Behavior Analyst (BACB) or NYS license as a Behavior Analyst (LBA)
  • NYS license in mental health counseling or master's degree in behavior analysis

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least three years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
  • Experience developing, implementing, and monitoring behavior support plans
