Job Description

Join The Jewish Board as a Crisis Behavioral Health Clinician, where you'll provide critical on-site interventions for children and young adults in mental health crises. Collaborate with a dedicated team to create safety plans and implement effective treatment strategies, making a significant impact in the Staten Island community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide culturally competent crisis interventions
  • Conduct risk assessments and psychosocial evaluations
  • Create safety plans with clients and families
  • Develop and implement short-term service plans
  • Utilize evidenced based practices for clinical interventions
  • Maintain case documentation in electronic health record system
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case conferences
  • Assist with audit preparation
  • Work with Clinical Director and/or Program Supervisor on intake process
  • Enhance communication with Family Advocates

Required Qualifications

  • Licensed Mental Health clinician
  • Valid NYS Driver's License
  • Minimum of one year of relevant experience with similar client population
  • Proficient reading and writing English

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual clinicians (if relevant to the population serviced)
