About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to join our surgical team in California. This role is vital to ensuring patient safety and surgical efficiency across a wide variety of procedures. The ideal candidate is skilled in perioperative nursing, communicates effectively with the surgical team, and thrives in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures
- Prepare and maintain a sterile surgical environment in compliance with infection control standards
- Assist surgeons during operations, anticipating needs and managing surgical instruments and supplies
- Monitor patient condition throughout the procedure, reporting changes promptly
- Document all aspects of patient care accurately and in real-time
- Collaborate with anesthesia providers, techs, and other OR staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Adhere to California state regulations and hospital policies
Qualifications:
- Active California RN license (Required)
- Minimum 1-2 years of Operating Room experience (Required)
- BLS & ACLS (AHA) certifications (Required)
- CNOR certification (Preferred)
- Experience with general, orthopedic, cardiovascular, or neuro cases (Preferred)
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and time management skills
