Job Description: Oncology Registered Nurse (RN)
Position Details
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team on a 5N Oncology unit. This night shift position offers either 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, requiring availability on weekdays and every other weekend.

Shift Details
- Shifts: Nights (7 PM - 7:30 AM)
- Patient Ratios: 1 Nurse to 5-6 Patients
- Orientation Hours: 12
Required Qualifications
- RN License (WV or Compact License - Pending License Accepted)
- Minimum 2 Years RN Experience Required
- Certifications Required:
- BLS
- ACLS
- NIHSS
- ONS Chemo/Bio Certification (preferred)
- Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
- Previous charge experience preferred
Skills & Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:
- Administer chemotherapy and blood products
- Manage patient care, including acute tumor lysis syndrome and side effects of cancer treatments
- Transition patients between care settings and educate patients and families about treatment plans
- Perform IV therapy, including starting IVs and managing central lines
- Handle cytotoxic spills and dispose of hazardous waste according to protocol
Unit Details
- 12-bed inpatient oncology unit with med/surg overflow
- Support from interdisciplinary teams, including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy
- Daily patient census of approximately 10

Candidates must have a permanent address greater than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible for application. Cases between 75 to 100 miles will be considered on an individual basis. Note that current employees of affiliated facilities are ineligible to apply.
