Job Description

Key Responsibilities
Organize and conduct occupational therapy programs for rehabilitation
Direct patient participation in selected tasks to enhance performance
Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants and support personnel
Ensure effective delivery of rehab services and timely documentation
Attend patient care and staffing conferences
Make referrals to address comprehensive patient needs
Consult with rehabilitation team members for appropriate therapeutic regimens
Adapt programs according to individual patient needs
Promote a safe environment and manage equipment maintenance
Screen, examine, and evaluate patients to establish a diagnosis and treatment plan
Design and apply adaptive devices and train patients in their use
Instruct patients in skills for functional activities and evaluate progress
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in an occupational therapy curriculum accredited by ACOTE standards
Initial registration from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy
Valid and unencumbered occupational therapy license in the state of practice
Availability to travel and temporarily reside in locations outside of the primary home
