Join Cooper University Health Care as an Orthopedic Technician, where you will support orthopedic surgeons in direct patient care activities. Your role will involve casting, bracing, wound care, and assisting with orthopedic procedures, all while providing excellent patient interaction and support.
Key Responsibilities
Support patient care activities in orthopedic practices
Coordinate casting, bracing, DME, and wound care activities
Apply, remove, and adjust casts and soft goods
Assist medical staff during orthopedic procedures
Maintain inventory of clinical items and clean treatment rooms
Train new Orthopedic Technologists and Medical Assistants
Required Qualifications
Knowledge of aseptic techniques
Experience with casting and bracing
Ability to assist in orthopedic procedures
Strong communication skills
Ability to document physician orders
Preferred Qualifications
Armed Forces Military Medical Core experience
Athletic Trainer Certification
1 year of MA experience under direct supervision of an Orthopedic Surgeon
