Now Hiring: Travel Nuclear Med Tech – Palo Alto, CA
Duration: 26 weeks
Schedule: 10 hour Day Shift, expect weekend and holiday rotations
Important: Applicants must reside 50 miles or more from zip code 94305
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepares diagnostic and therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals for administration following current radiation safety guidelines and assist in the administration of therapeutic doses
• Operate Nuclear Medicine scan units to perform clinical diagnostic procedures as directed
• Performs all Nuclear Medicine procedures on patients of all ages utilizing various types of imaging equipment
• Processes computerized image data to include function curves and reconstructed SPECT images and accurately transfer images to the Picture Archive Communication System (PACS)
Qualifications:
• Minimum 2 years of experience and at least 1 Travel assignment
• NMT-RHN - CA Nuclear Medicine Tech
• And one of the following licenses:
- ARRT-N - Certified as Nuclear Medicine Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
- NMTCB Certified as Nuclear Medicine Technologist by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board
- ARRT-CT American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Computed Tomography
• Knowledge of Nuclear Medicine & PET-CT quality control and quality assurance
• BLS Certification (American Heart Association) required
