Job Responsibilities:

• Provide 8 12 weeks of service per year in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU), including home call coverage.
• Oversee a growing team of Advanced Practice Providers managing complex post-operative patients.
• Deliver comprehensive anesthesia services, including general operating room coverage, obstetric anesthesia, and healthy pediatric cases.
• Share OR call duties proportionally based on ICU coverage.
• Participate in clinical decision-making, protocol development, and care coordination.
• Engage in teaching and mentoring opportunities with residents and Advanced Practice Providers.
• Utilize Epic EMR for seamless and integrated patient documentation.
• Join an innovative department focused on clinical excellence and continuous improvement.
• Must be available to start ASAP.
• Open to H1B and J1 Visa candidates.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology.
• Fellowship trained in Critical Care Medicine.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Valid Michigan medical license (or willingness to obtain).
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (or willingness to obtain prior to start).
• DEA and CSR/CDS certifications must be obtained prior to start.
• Current COVID and flu vaccinations required.
• Clean malpractice and license history.
