The OTR Class A Owner Operator drives tractor-trailer units over long distances, primarily transporting hazardous and non-hazardous waste across southeastern U.S. states. The role emphasizes strict adherence to health and safety protocols, proper vehicle operation, load securing, and compliance with DOT regulations. Compensation includes mileage pay and hourly rates, with bi-weekly home time and additional benefits offered by Clean Harbors.

Clean Harbors is looking for a OTR Class A Dry Van Owner Operator to join their safety conscious team in La Porte, TX. This route runs from La Porte, TX to the southeast (NC/SC/OH/GA and any other areas as needed. 2500-3000 miles per week. Must be out 2 weeks at a time.

• Average $200-250K per year
• Bi-Weekly home time
• Compensation package includes on-duty time paid via hourly demurrage rates, non-asset hourly rates, and/or mileage pay

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensures that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times
• Operates tractor trailer units
• Adheres to weights and ensures proper utilization of the units
• Ensures proper loading and unloading of hazardous waste/non-hazardous waste; Properly secures the loads
• Placards vehicle in accordance to Company and Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements/regulations
• Maintains daily logs, invoicing, time sheets, dispatch and trip reports as well as vehicle inspection reports

QUALIFICATIONS

• Class A CDL
• HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements
• 12+ months of Class A driving experience
• Ability to effectively use required technology such as mobile applications and computer software
