Job Description

Join State Farm as an Arbitration Paralegal in Jericho, NY, where you'll manage a high-volume caseload of PIP arbitration matters in a hybrid work environment. Collaborate with experienced mentors while contributing to a Fortune 50 company's mission of providing high-quality legal services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing a high-volume caseload of PIP arbitration matters
  • Reviewing AR-1 submissions
  • Preparing Conciliations
  • Reviewing medical records
  • Appearing for AAA hearings
  • Drafting reports
  • Significant communication with claim partners

Required Qualifications

  • 1-5 years of recent No-Fault paralegal experience preferably in insurance defense or personal injury environment
  • Familiarity with Court and American Arbitration Association rules and procedures
  • Familiarity with New York Civil Court Rules and Procedures
  • Understanding of medical terminology, CPT Codes, Workers’ Compensation Fee Schedule
  • Ability to draft pleadings, routine motions, discovery, and legal memoranda
  • Experience with discovery process
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Legal research
  • Strong software/technical skills
  • Working knowledge of a Case Management system
  • Working Knowledge of a Document Storage system
  • Paralegal degree/certificate/certification, medical training, or relevant coursework or legal studies degree

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience as a No-Fault Claims Adjuster
