Join Verizon as an Outside Plant Technician and ensure our outside plant facilities operate at peak efficiency. You will be responsible for a variety of hands-on tasks, from placing cables and poles to interpreting engineering work orders, all while being part of a dedicated team that values innovation and excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Placing, rearranging and removing outside plant, including cables and poles
Connecting wires and cables to terminals
Reading and interpreting engineering work orders
Performing construction work using designated equipment
Operating Company motor vehicles to transport equipment
Climbing ladders and poles, working aloft
Working evenings, weekends, holidays and unscheduled shifts as needed
Required Qualifications
Valid state driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
CDL or the ability to obtain a CDL
Preferred Qualifications
A related Associate Degree
2 or more years of relevant work experience
