Job Description

Join Boys & Girls Club as a Youth Development Specialist to inspire and support youth in afterschool programs. Lead engaging activities while fostering a safe and inclusive environment for children aged 5-13.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead engaging activities in education, arts, health & wellness, sports, and leadership development
  • Provide homework help and mentorship
  • Foster a safe and encouraging environment for youth ages 5–13
  • Supervise groups of students
  • Maintain organized and safe program spaces
  • Serve as a role model and motivator

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • CPR/First Aid certified or willing to earn certification within 30 days of hire
  • Ability to pass background check and screening requirements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with youth (paid, volunteer, or personal)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Patience and leadership skills
