Travel Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) / Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Long Term Care (LTC)

Hours/Day: 8
Shift Notes: Weekends 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM and 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM; weekday shifts vary based on unit needs. Must be willing to float to units where experienced.

On Call Requirements: No call
Provide compassionate, resident-centered nursing care in a long-term care facility. Observe and monitor residents’ physical and mental well-being, administer medications and treatments, supervise LNAs, and ensure accurate documentation. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to maintain the highest standards of care.
Monitor residents continuously; report changes to supervisors and communicate with physicians as needed.
Administer medications, treatments, oxygen, and gastrostomy/jejunostomy feedings according to facility protocols.
Perform wound care and manage wound vacs.
Supervise and mentor LNAs, assign and measure nursing staff performance, and assist with resident care as necessary.
Accompany physicians on rounds and facilitate communication during resident reviews.
Complete admissions, discharges, and transfers with proper documentation and notifications.
Maintain unit safety, infection control practices, and oversee daily operations.
Communicate effectively with residents’ families, addressing concerns and notifying of new orders.
Follow State and Federal regulations regarding controlled medications and unit management.
Participate in staff orientation, in-service education, and evaluate nursing staff performance.
3+ years of current experience (within the last 6 months) – Required
Must be willing to float where experienced – Required
IV certified (or willing to obtain during onboarding) – Required
BLS certification – Required
Previous travel experience – Highly Preferred
