Job Description
Join the ASPCA as a Lead Veterinarian, where you'll support a dedicated team providing essential veterinary care in underserved communities. You'll lead by example, ensuring high-quality care while fostering a collaborative environment for both staff and animals.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and monitor medicine and surgery at ASPCA’s veterinary clinics
Train veterinarians in HQHVSN techniques
Support a positive work culture through regular 1:1s and feedback
Perform pre-surgery examinations and high-quality spay/neuter procedures
Provide preventive and basic care to patients
Manage scheduling of staff veterinarians and per diems
Required Qualifications
Current California State Veterinary License
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an AVMA accredited veterinary college
Minimum one year of experience in high quality, high volume spay/neuter
Minimum three years veterinary experience in small animal medicine and surgery
Excellent work attendance record
Preferred Qualifications
Previous people management experience strongly preferred
