Join Dollar General as a Store Manager Candidate and support the Store Manager in executing store processes including inventory management, staffing, and customer service. This role is designed to develop external candidates for future Store Manager positions.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in recruiting and staffing activities
Assist with store merchandising and inventory management
Provide superior customer service leadership
Act as a role model by following company procedures
Participate in store opening and closing activities
Ensure financial integrity of the store
Operate store in store manager's absence
Review operating statements to identify business trends
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred
One year of experience in a retail environment preferred for external candidates
Ability to read and interpret documents
Ability to perform mathematical calculations
Knowledge of cash handling procedures
Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising practices
Effective oral and written communication skills
Effective interpersonal skills
Effective organization skills with attention to detail
