Connected Health Care, a trusted recruitment and staffing firm, is seeking a dedicated Travel RN Preoperative/Postoperative (PACU) to join a highly regarded healthcare facility in Franklin, TN. Position Summary
The RN Preoperative/Postoperative (PACU) is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care for surgical patients before and after procedures. This role ensures patient safety, provides comfort, and supports optimal recovery during the perioperative process.
Key Responsibilities
Assess and monitor patients before and after surgery, ensuring safe recovery from anesthesia
Provide pre-op education and support to patients and families
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
Monitor vital signs, pain levels, and patient progress during recovery
Respond promptly to post-anesthesia complications or emergencies
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
Adhere to safety, infection control, and patient confidentiality policies
Provide compassionate and patient-centered care throughout the perioperative experience
Requirements
Active RN license (state or compact)
Minimum of 1 year of PACU, Pre-op, or critical care experience preferred
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
