Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Youngstown, Ohio (44504) – Ohio nursing jobs
• Facility Setting: PCU/Stepdown IMCU, 24-bed unit
• Assignment Type: Travel RN Contract
• Start Date: December 1, 2025
• End Date: February 28, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12 Hour Nights
• Hours per Week: 36
• Scheduling: Every other weekend and holiday
• Scrubs: Navy blue
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1680–$1800

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license in Ohio or compact state (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required prior to patient care)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), CCRN, PCCN, and NIH Stroke Certification (preferred)
• Successful completion of Dysrhythmia Exam (study guide provided)
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience in healthcare jobs (required)
• 6 months RN experience in an acute care hospital (preferred)
• EPIC EHR experience and Critical Care Course (preferred)

PCU Nurse Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments; develop individualized nursing care plans
• Deliver clinical care to mixed acuity patients: cardiac (NSTEMI, stress tests, cardioversions, TEE's), neuro, general (HD, AKI, CRF, GI bleeds), and respiratory (COPD, CHF, COVID)
• Manage patients with stable ventilators/tracheostomies, BiPAP, CPAP, and high-flow oxygen
• Administer non-titratable IV drips (Cardizem, Amiodarone, Heparin, Lasix)
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams and advocate for patient safety
• Coordinate patient education and care transitions
• Respond effectively to rapidly changing patient conditions and medical emergencies
• Maintain professionalism, cultural sensitivity, and compassionate care for adult and geriatric patients
