Job Description
The Behavioral Intervention Specialist Level 1 will develop and oversee behavior management programs for individuals with developmental disabilities, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive support. This role requires regular travel and adherence to OPWDD regulations while promoting positive behavioral interventions.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and monitor Behavior Management Programs
Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs)
Develop Individualized Behavior Support Plans (BSPs)
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
Ensure compliance with OPWDD regulations and documentation requirements
Required Qualifications
Master's degree in clinical or treatment field of psychology, social work, school psychology, or applied psychology
Training in assessment techniques and behavior support plan development
Experience working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities
Supervision and training experience in behavior support plans
Preferred Qualifications
National board certification in Behavior Analyst (BACB)
NYS license as a Behavior Analyst (LBA)
NYS license in mental health counseling
