Key Responsibilities
Perform bench work according to established scratch procedures
Prepare product and form product to specifications according to scratch recipes
Bake prepared product using appropriate time and temperature
Prepare Bakery products according to established recipes
Insert products into proof box and set controls
Prepare and fry donuts according to established procedures
Insert and retrieve products from the freezer
Answer guest questions and resolve problems
Demonstrate suggestive selling techniques and provide sampling
Provide exemplary customer service
Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work areas
Accurately record special orders on Bakery products
Maintain proper safety and sanitation methods
Understand ingredients and their purpose in scratch baked goods
Assist in maintaining Bakery backroom efficiency
Assemble necessary baking ingredients
Required Qualifications
Satisfactory completion of job specific skills assessment
6 to 12 months experience or successful completion of the Giant Eagle Apprenticeship program
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience working in Bakery or related industry
