Job Description
Join Barnabas Health Medical Group as a Patient Services Representative, where you'll enhance patient satisfaction by managing appointments and clerical tasks. Collaborate with physicians and staff to ensure efficient operations and a welcoming environment for patients.
Key Responsibilities
Perform patient check-in and check-out functions
Answer routine questions in person and over the telephone
Perform basic clerical functions such as copying, scanning, faxing
Maintain health record information, files, and organization
Coordinate with insurance providers for pre-authorizations
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Relevant experience and/or training
Understanding of patient satisfaction and safety
Strong oral and written communication skills
Attention to accuracy and detail
Ability to multitask and work under pressure
Ability to work independently and in a team
Travel may be required
Preferred Qualifications
Associate degree or bachelor's degree
Previous medical receptionist experience
Knowledge of medical terminology and EMR systems
Bilingual in Spanish and English
