Job Description

Join Johns Hopkins Medicine as an Overnight Patient Access Team Lead, where you'll guide the admitting staff during night shifts, ensuring efficient operations and mentoring new team members. With a focus on leadership and support, you'll play a pivotal role in a diverse and dynamic healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance and assistance to Admitting Staff on evening and night shifts
  • Perform daily rounding of staff and address their needs
  • Assist Manager in creating agendas and participating in monthly staff meetings
  • Ensure daily reports used for auditing and tracking purposes are being worked
  • Demonstrate professional leadership qualities and lead by example
  • Act as a mentor for the development of Admission Counselors
  • Assist in the training of new staff members

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 5+ years of equivalent healthcare experience performing Admitting and Registration functions (for external candidates)
  • 4+ years of related experience at HCMC (for internal candidates)
  • Expertise in all registration functions within Admitting (for internal candidates)
  • No disciplinary action within the last 12 months (for internal candidates)
