Job Description

Join Optum as a Patient Services Representative and thrive in a supportive healthcare environment. You'll play a vital role in ensuring excellent patient care and service by managing patient interactions, appointments, and billing processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and register patients in a pleasant manner
  • Schedule, cancel, and reschedule patient appointments
  • Verify insurance eligibility and coverage
  • Collect and post payments from patients
  • Prepare daily batch reports for collections
  • Maintain a neat and organized reception area
  • Participate in training and staff meetings

Required Qualifications

  • 1+ years of customer service or healthcare related experience
  • Intermediate level of computer proficiency
  • Ability to work on multiple web browsers using dual monitors
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with health care providers

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience as a receptionist in a healthcare setting
  • Experience working with an electronic health record
  • Minimal medical terminology knowledge
