ICU RN Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Compact licenses accepted)
• BLS certification (AHA required)
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Ability to float between multiple hospital locations and units

ICU Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
• Float to inpatient units of skill level and below as needed (ICU, Intermediate, General)
• Maintain patient ratios: ICU 1:2, Intermediate 1:4-5, General 1:5-7 (community hospitals may be 1:5-8)
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Adapt quickly to changing assignments and hospital locations
• Receive shift assignment notifications via email prior to each shift
