Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and meticulous Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse (RN) to join our surgical team. The OR RN is a crucial member of the perioperative team, responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of patients before, during, and after surgical procedures. This role requires an in-depth understanding of surgical protocols, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to function effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments, equipment, and supplies are available.
Serve as a circulator or scrub nurse, anticipating the needs of the surgical team and maintaining a sterile environment.
Monitor the patient's condition throughout the procedure, including vital signs and fluid balance.
Assist with patient positioning and preparation for surgery.
Ensure accurate and complete documentation of all patient care, interventions, and surgical counts.
Adhere strictly to all surgical protocols, sterility standards, and safety procedures.
Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other OR staff to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.
Qualifications:

Active RN license in Wisconsin.
Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
Minimum of 1-2 years of recent recent OR nursing experience.
COVID vaccine and recent TB test are required.
