Shift: Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | 3/12’s
Weekend Requirements: 4 shifts in a 6-week period (Friday & Saturday nights)

Requirements:
1+ years postpartum or OB experience required
ACLS, BLS, and NRP required
Willingness to assist with L&D recoveries
Scope of Role:
The Postpartum RN holds shift accountability for providing care to patients during the postpartum phase of Obstetrical care by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and Hospital policies. The RN demonstrates critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in anticipating and planning safe care. Responsibilities include:
Delegating patient care priorities based on staff education and experience
Supervising assigned personnel delivering patient care
Providing direction for safe postpartum care
Performing recoveries in L&D as needed
