Job Description
Join Geisinger as a Per Diem Patient Access Medical Assistant, where you'll provide essential front-line support and patient care in a dynamic clinical environment. Your role will be pivotal in enhancing patient experiences and ensuring efficient clinic operations.
Key Responsibilities
Provides patient care as directed by the licensed nurse
Assists provider in setting up for minor procedures
Obtains and documents patient information
Reinforces patient instructions
Collects and prepares lab specimens
Reports patient concerns to appropriate team member
Inventories and orders supplies
Cleans and prepares exam rooms
Performs patient check-in and verifies demographics
Schedules follow-up appointments
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
Basic Life Support Certification within 6 months
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year related work experience
