Job Description

As a Navy Chaplain, you will provide spiritual support and guidance to Sailors and Marines during their most challenging and joyful moments. You'll conduct services, perform ceremonies, and promote spiritual well-being across diverse faiths, all while receiving comprehensive benefits and the opportunity for further education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct worship services in various settings
  • Perform religious rites and ceremonies (weddings, funerals, baptisms)
  • Counsel individuals seeking guidance
  • Oversee religious education programs
  • Provide spiritual guidance to hospitalized personnel and their families
  • Train lay leaders for religious education
  • Promote attendance at religious services and retreats
  • Advise leaders on morale, ethics, and spiritual well-being

Required Qualifications

  • U.S. citizen or equivalent
  • Graduate degree in theological or related studies from an accredited institution
  • Two years of full-time religious leadership experience
  • Ability to obtain an Ecclesiastical Endorsement from a registered religious faith organization
