Job Description

Join Kaiser as a Licensed Masters Mental Health Professional, where you will provide critical mental health services to children and adults. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and evaluate clinical treatment programs for members with mental illness
  • Provide outpatient psychotherapy to individuals, couples, families, and groups
  • Instruct and counsel patients and families on treatment compliance
  • Prepare intake summaries and maintain ongoing confidential records
  • Collaborate with physicians regarding psychotropic medication screening
  • Supervise Post Masters Fellows and associates if necessary
  • Utilize resources from public and private agencies for member treatment
  • Report safety concerns to mandated reporting agencies

Required Qualifications

  • Masters degree in Social Work, Social Welfare from a clinical track, Clinical or Counseling Psychology or related field
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (California)
  • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (California)
  • Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (California) with Couples and Families Endorsement within 24 months of hire
  • National Provider Identifier required at hire
  • Familiarity with DSM-V for diagnosis
  • Experience assessing, diagnosing, and treating a broad range of psychiatric conditions
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge of social service agencies and state regulations
  • Knowledge of Evidence-Based Practice and psychotherapy research methods
  • Competence in individual, family, and group psychotherapy
  • Ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous post-license experience as a member of a psychiatric treatment team in outpatient or inpatient settings
  • Previous clinical responsibility including crisis intervention and individual/group psychotherapy
  • Demonstrated professional maturity and ethical integrity
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality of service and teamwork
  • Demonstrated ability to complete multiple tasks/objectives in a timely manner
