The Mammography Technologist performs a variety of technicalactivities associated with the performance of screening and diagnosticmammography procedures. The MammographyTechnologist uses specialized X-ray equipment to take images of the breasttissue and work with radiologists to interpret the results. The Mammography Technologist helps detectbreast cancers early to improve the chances of successful treatment andsurvival.

Minimum Requirements:

• Current State License or Certificate in state where theywill be working
• One (1) year of experience as a Mammography Technician preferred.
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Requirements:

· 3+years of experience with Diagnostic and Screening Mammograms

· Ableto float to a different hospital

· ARRT(M) and (RT), BLS, IEMA

· Certificateby the ACR in Mammography

· Musthave the required 8 hours of CE in Tomo and 8 hours of DBT

· Initialdocumentation training specific to mammography, 40 contact hours under thesupervision of a qualified instructor

· Musthave 5 CE credits a year in mammography, must be current

· Experiencewith Hologic Selenia Dimensions 2D/3D equipment and Hologic Horizon equipment

· Ableto float to a nearby hospital
