Key Responsibilities
Detecting, preventing, and apprehending undocumented noncitizens and smugglers
Maintaining surveillance from covert positions
Responding to electronic sensor alarms and interpreting physical evidence
Patrolling international boundaries and coastal waterways
Performing farm and ranch checks, traffic checks, and city patrols
Required Qualifications
U.S. Citizenship
Primary U.S. residency for at least three of the last five years
Ability to pass the BPA Entrance Exam
Preferred Qualifications
Current or prior law enforcement experience
Military law enforcement experience
Proficiency in Spanish
