Job Description

As a Service Center Manager at XPO, you will oversee a team in the LTL industry, ensuring timely freight delivery while promoting safety and efficiency. Your leadership will drive productivity and foster employee development for a successful service center.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise employees and manage payroll issues
  • Plan daily manpower needs
  • Inform employees about productivity and policies
  • Research and implement cost-cutting measures
  • Maintain safe working conditions
  • Ensure compliance with laws and company policies
  • Oversee hazardous material shipments documentation

Required Qualifications

  • 5 years of supervisory experience
  • Thorough knowledge of the Less-than-Truckload (LTL) industry
  • Experience with transportation rules and regulations
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards
  • Experience with hazardous materials regulations
  • Familiarity with NMFC and Tariff rules
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Availability to work various shifts and travel as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 4 years of related work experience or equivalent military experience
  • Experience with process improvement
  • Knowledge of Lean and/or Six Sigma
  • Forklift experience
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Solid analytical skills
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills
