As a Service Center Manager at XPO, you will oversee a team in the LTL industry, ensuring timely freight delivery while promoting safety and efficiency. Your leadership will drive productivity and foster employee development for a successful service center.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise employees and manage payroll issues
Plan daily manpower needs
Inform employees about productivity and policies
Research and implement cost-cutting measures
Maintain safe working conditions
Ensure compliance with laws and company policies
Oversee hazardous material shipments documentation
Required Qualifications
5 years of supervisory experience
Thorough knowledge of the Less-than-Truckload (LTL) industry
Experience with transportation rules and regulations
Knowledge of OSHA standards
Experience with hazardous materials regulations
Familiarity with NMFC and Tariff rules
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Valid driver’s license
Availability to work various shifts and travel as needed
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
4 years of related work experience or equivalent military experience
Experience with process improvement
Knowledge of Lean and/or Six Sigma
Forklift experience
Strong organizational skills
Solid analytical skills
