Job Description

Banner – North Colorado Medical Center is seeking an experienced Med Surg Registered Nurse for a travel assignment. This role requires strong clinical skills, adaptability across units, and a commitment to high-quality patient care. Nurses must be willing to float to units where they have experience and meet dual campus requirements.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care to Med Surg patients
• Perform triage and multi-skill functions as needed (preferred)
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement and evaluate care plans
• Provide couplet care for mom/baby postpartum, circulate OR cases, and assist with baby admits (preferred)
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold Banner’s compliance standards
• Support patients and families through education and emotional care

Requirements

• Minimum 24 months of current Med Surg experience – Required
• Active RN license with no license hits – Required
• BLS certification from AHA or American Red Cross – Required
• Flu vaccination status must be included in submission (declination forms available)
• Travel nursing experience – Preferred
• Must adhere to Banner’s strict background and compliance requirements
• RTO not approved during first week or holidays; total RTO cannot exceed 7 days
