Job Description

Join the ASPCA as a Lead Veterinarian and lead a dedicated team in delivering high-quality veterinary care to underserved communities. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and monitor medicine and surgery at the ASPCA’s CVC
  • Train veterinarians in HQHVSN techniques
  • Provide compassionate quality preventive and basic care
  • Perform high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter procedures
  • Support a positive work culture through mentoring and performance evaluations

Required Qualifications

  • Current California State Veterinary License
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an AVMA accredited veterinary college
  • Minimum one year of experience in high quality, high volume spay/neuter
  • Minimum three years veterinary experience in small animal medicine and surgery
  • Excellent work attendance record

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous people management experience
  • Fear Free® Shelter certification required within 60 days of hire
