Anakim Consulting is seeking a NOC/TOC Technician to provide essential support to a federal customer environment. This full-time position requires experience in a high-visibility network and offers opportunities to grow within the company.
Key Responsibilities
Provide TOC technician support for an Enterprise Operation Center (EOC)
Work with enterprise monitoring tools to identify and escalate data center infrastructure incidents
Provide incident management escalation support and monitoring working within multiple communication channels
Support on-site shift work and non-standard hours including nights and weekends
Required Qualifications
U.S. Citizenship (no dual citizenship)
Eligibility to obtain government security access
Bachelor of Science degree; additional 4 years of related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
3-10 years of related experience supporting a large-scale high visibility NOC/TOC environment
3 years of experience working with data center technologies such as Java App Servers, VMware, Oracle, Unix/Linux and IBM MQ, AIX, DB2/UDB
3+ years handling incident management identification and escalation procedures in a critical network environment
3+ years of experience supporting incident, problem and change management activities in a federal agency environment
3+ years of experience working with fault and performance monitoring and reporting tools (IBM Netcool Omnibus, AppDynamics, HP Operations Manager)
3+ years of experience working with incident management tools such as BMC Remedy
3+ years of experience working in a large-scale, complex Manager of Manager (MoM) type monitoring environment
2+ years of demonstrated experience and ability to independently support functional mission critical work
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Availability to support full on-site schedule
Ability to support 4x10 shift work in a 24x7x365 environment
