Join Our Team as a Physical Therapist Assistant in Rehabilitation

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our rehabilitation team in Salmon, ID. As a PTA, you will play a vital role in helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals, providing high-quality care, and making a positive impact on their lives.

Overview

As a Physical Therapist Assistant in our rehabilitation department, you will work closely with our team of physical therapists to provide comprehensive care to patients with a variety of medical conditions. Your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting patient assessments, developing and implementing treatment plans, and implementing exercises and modalities to promote healing and rehabilitation
• Collaborating with physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records
• Providing education and support to patients and their families

Required Skills

• Associate's degree in Physical Therapist Assistant Studies or related field
• Current certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in the state of Idaho
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Basic life support certification (BLS) and CPR certification

Nice to Have Skills

• Experience working in a rehabilitation or long-term care setting
• Knowledge of orthopedic, neurological, or cardiovascular rehabilitation
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMRs) and other healthcare software

Preferred Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapist Assistant Studies or related field
• 1-2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant in a rehabilitation or long-term care setting

Other Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
• Must be able to travel to other locations as needed
