Key Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment
  • Conduct general diagnostic and routine fluoroscopic duties
  • Produce radiographs and manage patient positioning
  • Select proper technical factors for individual patients
  • Operate imaging equipment as directed
  • Develop film by automatic processing and use PACS
  • Ensure radiation safety standards are followed
  • Assist physician in administering opaque media
  • Maintain records, orderliness, and cleanliness
  • Cooperate with all personnel in the department

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Two years of continuous recent experience as a radiologic technologist II
  • BLS - Basic Life Support Certification
  • Certification/Competency in at least one specialized area (Mammography, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Angiography, PACS)
  • Fluoroscopy Permit issued by the State of California Department of Health Services
  • Valid certificate as a Radiologic Technologist issued by the State of California Department of Public Health
  • Valid ARRT Radiologic Technologist certification or equivalent education approved by the state of California

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to rotate to clinics
  • MQSA certified
  • Licensed to perform Mammography in California
