Job Description
Join Beckman Coulter Diagnostics as a Senior Staff Global Supplier Quality Engineer - Metals, where you'll lead efforts to ensure high-quality metals components from global suppliers. Your role will involve developing strategic partnerships, managing supplier performance, and driving quality initiatives that enhance manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
Drive supplier quality strategies aligned with key commodity sourcing objectives
Independently lead quality workshops and comprehensive supplier development initiatives
Manage and execute supplier audits, qualifications, and ongoing performance assessments
Serve as a strategic quality leader throughout the supplier lifecycle
Collaborate with cross-functional teams across R&D, Procurement, Operations, Quality, and Regulatory Affairs
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in technical field with 14+ years' experience or master’s degree with 12+ years of experience or Doctoral degree with 9+ years of experience
Minimum 10 years’ experience in supplier quality engineering or supplier development within international manufacturing environments
Deep expertise in quality systems and tools, including risk management, CAPA, APQP, PPAP, FAI, and statistical analysis methodologies
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Ability and willingness to travel up to 25%
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in FDA-regulated industries or medical device manufacturing environments
Professional certifications such as CQE, CQA, Six Sigma, or equivalent credentials
Working knowledge of regulatory standards, including ISO 13485, 21 CFR Part 820
