Join our respected long-term care facility as an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) and play a crucial role in managing high standards of resident care. You'll lead nursing teams, ensure compliance, and contribute to a collaborative environment that values both medical and psychosocial needs.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Director of Nursing Services in overall management and maintaining high standards of care
Conduct weekly Wound/Skin Rounds
Ensure compliance and promote effective communication among all levels of nursing staff
Address the nursing and medical needs of all residents
Participate in a 24-hour on-call rotation
Coordinate and oversee planning of nursing services
Ensure accurate and timely completion of medical records
Assist with interviewing, hiring, and onboarding of nursing staff
Manage daily staffing
Monitor and enforce infection control practices
Maintain scheduling flexibility to respond to changing facility needs
Required Qualifications
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New York
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a long-term care setting
Strong communication and leadership skills
Flexible schedule availability
Preferred Qualifications
At least 2 years of management experience
1 year of staff education experience
