Join the ASPCA as a Lead Veterinarian and lead a dedicated team in providing essential veterinary care to underserved communities. You will support both new and experienced veterinarians, ensuring high-quality care while maximizing client experiences. This role combines leadership, medical expertise, and a commitment to animal welfare.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and monitor medicine and surgery at the ASPCA’s CVC
Train veterinarians in HQHVSN techniques and other medical protocols
Support a positive work culture through regular 1:1s and developmental coaching
Perform pre-surgery physical examinations and high-volume spay/neuter procedures
Provide compassionate veterinary care in underserved areas
Schedule staff veterinarians for optimal coverage
Participate in monthly CM Veterinary Medicine Rounds
Required Qualifications
Current California State Veterinary License
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an AVMA accredited veterinary college
Minimum one year of experience in high quality, high volume spay/neuter
Minimum three years veterinary experience in small animal medicine and surgery
Demonstrate true leadership abilities in challenging situations
Possess ability to work in high-volume, fast-paced clinic environment
Fear Free® Shelter certification within 60 days of hire
